Product Overview
HYF297 SpeI Restriction Enzyme is designed for rapid and efficient DNA digestion in molecular biology workflows. It exhibits activity in Universal Buffer and Color Buffer, enabling DNA digestion in 5–15 minutes under recommended reaction conditions and helping streamline routine restriction enzyme procedures.
HYF297 SpeI Restriction Enzyme is suitable for digesting plasmid DNA, genomic DNA, viral DNA, and PCR products containing the appropriate SpeI recognition site. Its buffer compatibility supports double or multiple restriction digestion in a single reaction tube when the selected enzymes have compatible reaction requirements, reducing the need for sequential digestion steps.
When used with Color Buffer, the reaction mixture can be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. The buffer contains a density reagent and red and yellow tracking dyes to facilitate sample loading and electrophoresis monitoring. In a 1% agarose gel, the red dye migrates similarly to approximately 2.5 kb double-stranded DNA fragments, while the yellow dye migrates similarly to approximately 10 bp double-stranded DNA fragments.

FAQ
Q1: How long does HYF297 SpeI Restriction Enzyme take to digest DNA?
HYF297 SpeI Restriction Enzyme supports DNA digestion in 5–15 minutes under recommended reaction conditions. Actual digestion time may vary depending on the DNA substrate, DNA amount, and reaction setup.
Q2: Which DNA substrates can HYF297 SpeI Restriction Enzyme digest?
It can digest plasmid DNA, genomic DNA, viral DNA, and PCR products containing the appropriate SpeI recognition site. Successful digestion depends on the presence and accessibility of the recognition site in the DNA substrate.
Q3: Can HYF297 SpeI Restriction Enzyme be used for double or multiple restriction digestion?
Yes. Its compatibility with Universal Buffer and Color Buffer supports combined digestion with other restriction enzymes when their buffer and reaction requirements are compatible. Check the relevant enzyme specifications before setting up a combined digestion reaction.
