Velocut MspI (HYF273) is designed to support efficient DNA digestion in molecular biology workflows. As part of the Velocut restriction enzyme series, it enables DNA digestion in 5–15 minutes under suitable reaction conditions, helping reduce incubation time and streamline routine laboratory procedures.
Velocut MspI is compatible with universal Buffer and Color Buffer, offering flexibility in restriction digestion setup. The Color Buffer contains a density reagent and red and yellow tracking dyes, allowing reaction mixtures to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. In a 1% agarose gel, the red tracking dye migrates similarly to approximately 2.5 kb double-stranded DNA fragments, while the yellow tracking dye migrates similarly to approximately 10 bp double-stranded DNA fragments. These dyes help monitor electrophoresis progress during DNA analysis.
Velocut MspI can be used for the digestion of plasmid DNA, genomic DNA, viral DNA, and PCR products. It supports restriction digestion workflows used in molecular cloning, DNA fragment analysis, and other molecular biology applications.
