Product Overview
HYF228 Velocut ApaI is a recombinant restriction endonuclease developed for rapid and efficient DNA digestion. Under recommended reaction conditions, it can complete digestion within 5–15 minutes at 37°C, helping streamline molecular biology workflows.
HYF228 Velocut ApaI is suitable for digesting DNA substrates containing the appropriate ApaI recognition site, including plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. It is compatible with standard reaction buffer and color reaction buffer. The color buffer contains red and yellow tracking dyes, allowing digestion products to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. On a 1% agarose gel, the red and yellow dyes migrate similarly to approximately 2,500 bp and 10 bp double-stranded DNA fragments, respectively.
The enzyme can be heat-inactivated at 80°C for 20 minutes. Cleavage of CpG-methylated or Dcm-methylated DNA may be inhibited, so the methylation status of the target DNA should be considered when planning digestion reactions.
