Velocut FspI - HYF258
Velocut FspI Cat. No. HYF258

Product Overview

HYF258 Velocut FspI is a recombinant restriction endonuclease developed for efficient DNA digestion in molecular biology workflows. It is suitable for digesting plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA containing the appropriate FspI recognition site. Under recommended reaction conditions, digestion can typically be completed in 5–15 minutes at 37°C.

For convenient downstream analysis, a color reaction buffer containing red and yellow tracking dyes allows digestion reactions to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. In a 1% agarose gel, the red dye migrates similarly to approximately 2,500 bp double-stranded DNA, while the yellow dye migrates similarly to approximately 10 bp double-stranded DNA.

Cleavage of CpG-methylated DNA may be inhibited, so the methylation status of the DNA substrate should be considered when planning digestion. HYF258 Velocut FspI cannot be heat-inactivated. After digestion, enzyme removal should be performed using phenol-chloroform extraction or column purification. Store at −20°C; the stated shelf life is two years.

Product Features
