Velocut PspGI (EcoRII) - HYF283
Velocut PspGI (EcoRII) Cat. No. HYF283

Product Overview

HYF283 Velocut PspGI (EcoRII) is a rapid restriction enzyme developed for efficient DNA digestion in molecular biology workflows. Under the recommended reaction conditions, it enables digestion in 5–15 minutes at 75°C, supporting DNA preparation for downstream applications.

The supplied color reaction buffer contains red and yellow tracking dyes, allowing digestion products to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. In a 1% agarose gel, the red dye migrates similarly to approximately 2,500 bp double-stranded DNA, while the yellow dye migrates similarly to approximately 10 bp double-stranded DNA.

Velocut PspGI (EcoRII) cannot be heat-inactivated. Phenol-chloroform extraction or column purification is recommended when enzyme removal is required after digestion. Cleavage of Dcm-methylated DNA may be inhibited, so the methylation status of the DNA substrate should be considered during experimental planning. Store at −20°C for up to 2 years.
