Velocut AciI - HYF224
Velocut AciI Cat. No. HYF224

Product Overview

HYF224 Velocut AciI is a recombinant restriction endonuclease designed for rapid and efficient DNA digestion. Under recommended reaction conditions, it can complete digestion within 5–15 minutes at 37°C, helping streamline restriction enzyme workflows.

HYF224 Velocut AciI is suitable for digesting DNA substrates containing the appropriate AciI recognition site, including plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. It can be used with standard reaction buffer or color reaction buffer. The color buffer contains red and yellow tracking dyes, allowing digestion products to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. On a 1% agarose gel, the red and yellow dyes migrate similarly to approximately 2,500 bp and 10 bp double-stranded DNA fragments, respectively.

HYF224 Velocut AciI can be heat-inactivated by incubation at 80°C for 20 minutes. Cleavage of CpG-methylated DNA may be inhibited, so DNA methylation status should be considered when planning digestion reactions.
