Product Overview
HYF227 Velocut AluI is a recombinant restriction endonuclease designed for rapid and efficient DNA digestion. Under recommended reaction conditions, it can complete digestion within 5–15 minutes at 37°C, helping streamline molecular biology workflows.
HYF227 Velocut AluI is suitable for digesting DNA substrates containing the appropriate AluI recognition site, including plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA. It is compatible with standard reaction buffer and color reaction buffer. The color buffer contains red and yellow tracking dyes, allowing digestion products to be loaded directly onto an agarose gel without adding a separate loading dye. On a 1% agarose gel, the red and yellow dyes migrate similarly to approximately 2,500 bp and 10 bp double-stranded DNA fragments, respectively.
The enzyme can be heat-inactivated at 80°C for 20 minutes. Digestion of EcoBI-methylated DNA may be inhibited, so DNA methylation status should be considered when planning experiments. Store HYF227 Velocut AluI at −20°C. The stated shelf life is two years under the recommended storage conditions.
