Velocut HinfI - HYF262
Velocut HinfI Cat. No. HYF262

Product Overview

HYF262 Velocut HinfI is a recombinant restriction endonuclease developed for rapid and efficient DNA digestion in molecular biology workflows. It is suitable for plasmid DNA, PCR products, and genomic DNA containing the appropriate recognition site.

Under recommended reaction conditions, Velocut HinfI can complete DNA digestion in 5–15 minutes at 37°C. The supplied color reaction buffer contains red and yellow tracking dyes, allowing digestion products to be loaded directly onto agarose gels without adding a separate loading dye. In a 1% agarose gel, the red dye migrates similarly to approximately 2,500 bp double-stranded DNA, while the yellow dye migrates similarly to approximately 10 bp double-stranded DNA.

Velocut HinfI can be heat-inactivated at 80°C for 20 minutes. However, cleavage of DNA methylated by CpG or EcoBI may be inhibited. Considering the methylation status of the DNA substrate can help support appropriate restriction digestion planning.

Product Features

  • Rapid DNA Digestion: Enables restriction digestion in 5–15 minutes at 37°C under recommended reaction conditions, helping streamline routine DNA processing workflows.
  • Convenient Gel Electrophoresis: The supplied color reaction buffer contains red and yellow tracking dyes, supporting direct loading of digestion products onto agarose gels.
  • Defined Methylation Sensitivity: Cleavage of DNA methylated by CpG or EcoBI may be inhibited, an important consideration when selecting DNA substrates and planning digestion experiments.

FAQ

Q1: How long does Velocut HinfI take to digest DNA?
